💡 About this Role

You'll join a fast-moving software engineering team that develops and maintains web applications in a microservice ecosystem. This is a UI-focused position where you'll work closely with your tech lead to drive technical decisions and shape the product roadmap. You'll interact with our customers daily, working to resolve issues and propose new features that directly impact their mission success.

Your day-to-day will involve developing robust web applications that interact seamlessly with Java microservices, debugging complex software engineering problems, and collaborating with a highly engaged team that values your input. You'll support testing and deployment of production applications and help shape system design alongside your teammates. This role offers you the opportunity to work on challenging problems while staying connected to the mission and the customers you're serving.

📋 Requirements

12 years of experience as a software engineer, OR a Bachelor's degree plus 8 additional years of experience
Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript — including design, debugging, and problem solving
Hands-on experience with Vue, React, or similar frontend frameworks
RESTful web application development experience
Experience working with MongoDB or similar database technologies
Proven expertise in automated testing
Based in Columbia, MD

Full stack development experience with a focus on Java or JVM-based languages
Kafka experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Linux administration experience
Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code

💰 Salary Range

$266,500 – $313,500

This range includes our flex income and depends upon your annual work hours.

Salary is determined on an individual basis following the interview process and considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education, and certifications.
